Bonnie Durkin

Bonnie Durkin (Gerber) of Succasunna died Sept. 18, 2011. Born in the Bronx, she lived in Linden, Livingston, Parsippany, and Mt. Arlington before moving to Succasunna 19 years ago.

Mrs. Durkin was a teacher and professor of history at the County College of Morris for the past 13 years. She also owned and operated D-Vision Video, a video company in Succasunna, since 1987. Previously, she had taught high school history classes.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Rider University in 1977 and a master’s degree with honors from Montclair State University.

She was a member of the North Jersey Videographers Association.

She is survived by her husband, Mike; two sons, Eric and Kevin; her mother, Lenore Gerber (Horowitz); and her brother, Roy Gerber.

Services were held Sept. 20 with arrangements by Ross’ Shalom Chapels, Whippany.
