BLUME-FRIED
Patricia and Alan Blume of Ocean Township announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha, to Michael Fried, son of Renee and Steven Fried of Warren.
Ms. Blume is a graduate of Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from Elon University, North Carolina, in 2006 and her master’s degree in special education from Kean University, Union, in 2011. She teaches eighth-grade reading and writing at Long Branch Middle School.
Mr. Fried is a graduate of Watchung Hills Regional High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, in 2004 and became a certified property manager in 2009. He has been working for seven years at Boston Properties, where he oversees Class A office buildings in Princeton. He is also president-elect of the New Jersey chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management.
A 2014 wedding is planned.
