Beverly Hertzoff
Beverly L. Hertzoff (Saperstein), 77, of Short Hills died Dec. 20, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, she resided in Queens and Springfield before moving to Short Hills in 1978. She also spent many weekends in Margate.
Mrs. Hertzoff was the granddaughter of Aaron Saperstein, founder of United Orthopaedic Appliances Co. Inc., New York City, which she and her husband and son ran until it was sold in August 2006.
She was an active member of Temple Beth Sholom in Flushing as well as Temple Sha’arey Shalom in Springfield, where she held several board positions, including sisterhood president.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edwin; two daughters, Amy J. Klein of Springfield and Debra J. Wald of Short Hills; her son, Clayton R. of Florham Park; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services were held Dec. 23 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
