Betty Pistol

Betty Pistol of Clark died Feb. 28, 2018. Born in Lakewood, she grew up in Brooklyn and lived in Hillside and Union, settling in Cranford for nearly 50 years before moving to Clark four years ago. 

A homemaker and a clerical worker, Mrs. Pistol was employed at Franklin Templeton Investments in Short Hills. Previously, she served in the same capacity at Heine Securities in Short Hills, and United Counties Trust Co. in Roselle and Cranford, retiring 20 years ago. 

She was a member of the Suburban chapter of Deborah of Springfield, Westfield Hadassah, and the Cranford Wednesday Senior Club. 

Predeceased by her husband, Sidney, and a son, Stuart, she is survived by a son, Jeffrey of Cranford; and a sister, Shirley Kier of Brooklyn. 

Services were held March 4 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
