Betty Levin
Betty Levin, 90, of Ewing died June 22, 2012. Born in Trenton, she lived in the area her entire life.
Mrs. Levin worked for years as a sales representative for a graphic printer.
She graduated from Trenton High School and attended Ohio State University as an art major, before enlisting in the United States Navy.
She served in the Navy during World War II, and was honorably discharged as a yeoman second class.
A talented artist and painter, her artwork ranged from still life to landscapes to portraits to abstracts. She was adept in various art mediums, including oil, pastels, charcoal, and even computer graphics. Predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Leon, in 2004, she is survived by her son, H. Robert of Marietta, Ga.; her daughter, Jill Paltrowitz of Queensbury, NY; a niece, Barbara Stern; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held June 24 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Greenwood House, 50 Walter St., Ewing, NJ 08628; or Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital of Atlanta, 1001 Johnson Ferry Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30342.
