Beth Potashkin
Beth Potashkin, 61, of New York City died July 25, 2014. She had lived in Cranford before moving to New York 25 years ago.
Dr. Potashkin worked as a clinical psychologist specializing in children for over 35 years with a private practice in Scotch Plains.
She graduated from Cranford High School in 1970. She received a bachelor’s degree from Clark University and a PhD in psychology from Yeshiva University.
She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the American Psychological Association.
She was a former member of Temple Beth El in Cranford.
Predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Helene Potashkin, she is survived by her stepmother, Barbara Potashkin; two sisters, Judy Potashkin and Lisa Solomon; two brothers, Howard Markowitz and Neil Markowitz.
Services were held July 28 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Everybody Wins, a New York-based literacy education program for children.
