Bernice Kolstein
Bernice Ruth Carchman Kolstein, 90, of Delray Beach, Fla., died Aug. 15, 2014. Born in Newark, she resided in Monroe Township before moving to Delray Beach in 2009.
Prior to her retirement in 1995, Mrs. Kolstein was a medical assistant in Verona for 25 years.
She was a former congregant of Temple Ner Tamid in Bloomfield and a member of B’nai B’rith, Brandeis, and Hadassah.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Morris; two daughters, Beverly Rubin of Margate and Lorraine Speake of Tomball, Texas; a brother, Robert Carchman of East Dennis, Mass.; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 19 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Hadassah, PO Box 745, New York, NY 10101-0745.
