Bernice Charwin
Bernice “Chickie” Charwin, 84, of Monroe Township died Aug. 10, 2015. Born in Newark, she resided in Fords before moving to Monroe 28 years ago.
Mrs. Charwin worked for 28 years as an office manager at Eagleton Institute of Political Science, Rutgers University, before retiring in 1995.
She graduated from Weequahic High School, Newark.
She was involved in Women’s American ORT Foundation.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jack; two sons, Gary (Joann) of Cranbury and Ricky (Melissa) of Asbury; a brother, Marshall Kolba of Montclair; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 12 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Denville
