Bernard Strauss
Bernard Strauss, 80, of Rockaway died Nov. 6, 2015. He was born in the Bronx and grew up in Newark.
Mr. Strauss worked as a chemical engineer at Picatinny Arsenal in Dover for more than three decades. He had numerous patents in chemical engineering and received awards for his contributions to the field.
He graduated from Newark College of Engineering (now NJIT).
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Fern (Wexler); two sons, Rick (Polly) and Jack (Lyubov); a sister, Ethel Berman; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 8 with arrangements by Jewish Memorial Chapel, Clifton.
