Bernard Smukler

Bernard Smukler, 91, of Lawrence Township died May 13, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, he resided in Lawrence for the past 20 years. 

Mr. Smukler was a purchasing manager at Honeywell, the Neshaminy School District, and later the Philadelphia Housing Authority. 

He was a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. 

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Force. 

He was an active member of Men in Retirement, Riverside, and Community Without Walls.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Neuza B.; three daughters, Holly Smukler Walter, Joanne Borochaner, and Ilisa Smukler; a sister, Shirley Freedman; a stepson, Adriano Vieira; and three grandchildren.

Private services were held with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
