Bernard M. Fink
Bernard M. Fink, 80, of Monroe Township died Feb. 22, 2011. Born in Orange, he lived in West Orange before moving to Monroe in 1995.
Mr. Fink ran Fink’s Wines and Liquors in West Orange, the family business, for 35 years. After the business was sold, he went into computer programming, first with Electro Neucleonics, then at Schiapparelli Biosystems Inc., Fairfield. He retired in 1997.
He graduated from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, in 1952 with a BS in business administration.
He was a corporal during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel in South Orange. A member of the West Orange Rotary Club for 40 years, he served as president from July 1996 until June 1997 and was named a Paul Harris Fellow. After moving to Monroe, he joined the Hightstown/South Brunswick Rotary. He was also a member of the Triluminar Masonic Lodge #112 of South Orange for 50 years and was Worshipful Master from January to December 1997.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria S. (Salzberg), his son, Gary of Paramus; his daughter, Joy Goeb of Cranford; his brother, Leon of Millburn; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 24 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fund for Muscular Dystrophy.
