Bernard Lilien
Bernard Lilien, 91, of Delray Beach, Fla., died Dec. 4, 2010. He previously lived in Newark, Irvington, and West Orange before moving to Florida 11 years ago.
A certified public account in New Jersey, Mr. Lilien worked for Department of Defense, Perl Organization, Georgia Leather Co., and the IRS.
He received a BA in accounting from Rutgers University.
He was a past member of the NJ State Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs and a member of the Masons’ Livingston Lodge #11.
He served in the United States and Europe as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945.
Predeceased by his wife, Marilyn, in 1995, and a son, Alan, in 1967, he is survived by two sons, Steven of Washington Township and Jay of Lakewood Ranch, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 7 with arrangements by Star of David Funeral Home, No. Lauderdale, Fla. Memorial contributions may be made to Palm Greens Goldcoast Cancer Research Unit at the University of Miami or Tomorrow’s Children Fund of Hackensack University Hospital.
