Bernard Auerbach

Bernard Auerbach, 84, of Manchester died April 14, 2011.

Mr. Auerbach owned Key Appliance in Brick for many years. He later was a teacher with the Monmouth County Vocational School District for 24 years prior to his retirement.

At age 39, he enrolled at Trenton State College, where he earned bachelor and master’s degrees in education.

He was a charter member of Congregation Ahavat Shalom, Lakewood, where he was a founder of a Boy Scout troop. He also served as a 4H leader.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris; his son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Cathy Auerbach; and three grandchildren.

Services were held April 17 at Congregation Ahavat Olam, with arrangements by Belkoff Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood.
