Debra J. and Mordechai Bermann of East Brunswick announce the engagement of their daughter, Mia A., to Shai B. Van Gelder, son of Leila and Ezra Van Gelder of Palo Alto, Calif.

Mr. Van Gelder is cellar master at Lafond Wineries in Santa Barbara, Calif.

A June 2015 wedding is planned.
