Benjamin Hupert

Benjamin Hupert, 99, of New York City died Jan. 19, 2019.

Mr. Hupert was an automobile salesperson in Manhattan until his retirement at 55.

He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Merchant Marines. He was stationed in the Philippines.

After his retirement he travelled around the world with his late partner, Robert Sechser, and they built a home on Fire Island, where they lived part-time. They also split their time residing in New York City and Miami.

Predeceased by his partner of over 60 years, he is survived by a brother, Stanley Lou Hupert; a niece, Phyllis Zager-Wiener; a nephew, Marc Hupert; and two grandnieces.

Services were held Jan. 22 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
