Beatrice R. Ellerstein, 106, of Princeton died Nov. 29, 2013. Born in Brooklyn, she was a former resident of Queens and lived in Ewing Township for 10 years before moving to Princeton.
Mrs. Ellerstein was employed as an interior decorator at Abraham & Strauss department store before retiring.
She attended the Pratt Institute and Columbia University.
She was an 18-year volunteer for the Red Cross Ambulance Corps and drove Eleanor Roosevelt to visit the troops.
Predeceased by her husband, Bernard, she is survived by her son, Stuart M.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 1 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing.
