Barry Bier
Barry Bier, 71, of Mechanicsburg, Pa., died May 24, 2017. Born in Newark, he lived in Hillside, Livingston, and Chester before moving to Mechanicsburg 12 years ago.
Mr. Bier was president of Richards Manufacturing Co. before retiring.
He received a BA in business from Nathaniel Hawthorne College, N.H.
A wheeled mechanic in the New Hampshire Army National Guard, he held the rank of corporal.
He was a member of Congregation Beth El, Harrisburg, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Davida; two sons, Scott (Sarah) of The Woodlands, Texas, and Randy (Jennifer) of Boynton Beach, Fla.; his daughter, Francie (Elan) Feder of Gaithersburg, Md.; and six grandchildren.
Services were held May 26 at Beth El Cemetery, Harrisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Semper Fi Fund, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or ASPCA.
