Barbara Stern
Barbara (Bobbie) Stern, 88, of Short Hills died June 21, 2017. Born in Elizabeth, she lived in Millburn-Short Hills for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Stern was the founder of Bobbie’s Boys, a retail clothing store in Short Hills that she operated for more than 25 years.
She was a graduate of Plainfield High School and Upsala College.
Predeceased by her husband, Abraham, she is survived by two sons, David and Andy; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie; and three grandchildren.
Services were held June 23 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall St., Eatontown, N.J. 07724; or Millburn-Short Hills Volunteer First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 226, Millburn, N.J. 07041.
