Barbara Steinberg
Barbara Steinberg (Revitz), 89, of Union died Aug. 31, 2018. She was born in the Bronx and grew up in Queens before moving back to the Bronx, graduating a year early from James Madison High School and later moving to New Jersey.
Early on, Mrs. Steinberg worked as a model for Simplicity Patterns. After having three children, she returned to work in 1963 as a legal secretary for a tax attorney. She later became office manager and continued at the tax law practice until 2003, when it closed.
Predeceased by her husband of 26 years, Jack (Jacob) in 1976, and a son-in-law, Kevin Koontz, in 2013, she is survived by three daughters, Pam Steinberg (Jerry Fabricatore), Meg Steinberg, and Jill Koontz; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 4 with arrangements by J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels of Cedar Grove.
