Barbara Rosen

Barbara Rosen (Spiller) died June 9, 2019. She was born in Bloomfield and later moved with her husband to Highland Park.

Mrs. Rosen worked with her husband, Donald, the longtime owner of the Edison Pharmacy in Edison, until it was sold in the mid-1980s.

She was a lifelong member of Highland Park Conservative Temple-Congregation Anshe Emeth and was active in the local Jewish community. She and her husband were also active in the Highland Park Senior Center and with the Highland Park Board of Health.

A lifelong member of Hadassah’s Raritan Valley chapter, for five consecutive years she was honored for being the most successful fund raiser in her chapter.

Predeceased by her husband in 2005, she is survived by her daughter, Sally (Mitchell) Lefkofsky; her son, Frank; and a grandson.

Services were held June 11 with arrangements by Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Edison. Memorial contributions may be made to Chabad House Charitable Fund, P.O. Box 5818, New Brunswick, N.J. 08903 Attn: Rabbi Baruch Goodman.
