Audrey Grossman
Audrey Grossman (Braverman), 83, of Ossining, NY, died March 29, 2016. She was born in Brooklyn and lived in Westchester County for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Grossman worked for 30 years as a music therapist at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in White Plains, NY.
She held a master’s degree in social work.
A pianist and accordionist, she performed in recitals at Town Hall as well as playing club dates in many of the major hotels in New York City in the late 1940s and throughout the 1950s.
Predeceased by her partner, Stanley Bernstein, she is survived by her daughter, Connie (Daniel) Leviatin of Tarrytown, NY; her son, Edward (Joan) of Montgomery Center, Vt.; a brother, Arnold Braverman of New York; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Services were held April 1 with arrangements by Star of David Chapel, West Babylon, NY. Donations may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047
