Arthur Landberg

Arthur Landberg, 84, of Long Branch died May 14, 2011. Born in the Bronx, he lived in Tinton Falls before moving to the Elberon section of Long Branch in 1963.

Mr. Landberg worked at Fort Monmouth for 32 years as an engineer, retiring in 1982. He worked for Computer Sciences Corp. in Eatontown until 1992.

He was the chaplain of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees Local Chapter 411 of West Long Branch. He was a member of Jewish War Veterans of USA, past commander of JWV’s Long Branch Post 316, past commander of Monmouth-Ocean County Council, member of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, member of Armed Forces Communication, a life member of the Association of United State Army, the Department of New Jersey Jewish War Veterans liaison to Fort Monmouth, and a member of the Officers Club at Fort Monmouth.

He is survived by his wife, Edith, and two sons, Joel and Lowell.

Services were held May 15 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean.
