Arthur Azarchi
Arthur Azarchi, 83, of Yardley, Pa., died Nov. 3, 2011. Born in Trenton, he resided in Yardley for the last 43 years.
Mr. Azarchi was an entrepreneur, inventor, singer, and teacher. He was a prolific song and poetry writer. He also volunteered to mentor and coach local business entrepreneurs. Passionate about the art and science of selling, he taught a sales course for many years at Mercer County Community College.
A graduate of Trenton High, he earned a four-year academic scholarship to Rutgers University and an acting scholarship to Columbia University. During that time he was a radio announcer and the lead actor in many collegiate plays, graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering.
A MENSA member, his IQ placed him in the top 2 percent in the country.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Kohn Azarchi; two daughters, Lynne and Karen Azarchi; his son, Steven; a brother, Kalman; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 6 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Community Center, Lawrenceville.
