Art at Axelrod
THE GALLERY ON Grant will present the works of visual artists Irene
Liebler and Hannah Ueno through Oct. 29.
Liebler is best known for her conceptual photography featuring dramatic lighting, crisp details, and colorful cloudscapes. Among the featured images at the exhibit is “Red Balloon,” a Photoshop composite of five original images taken by herself: a man, a shirt with an open collar, a balloon, clouds and sky, and the ground.
Ueno’s Metafisica series is also on display. “The central theme of this series is ‘a place of solace in one’s mind’s eye,’” she said. “These images represent my interpretation of a sanctuary in our mind where one can dream, reflect, and hope.”
The Gallery on Grant is located adjacent to the lobby at the Axelrod PAC, Ocean Township. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; Fridays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; and prior to shows at the theater.
