Arnold Zarra
Arnold H. “Skip” Zarra, 84, of Galloway died June 1, 2017. He was born in Newark.
Mr. Zarra followed in the steps of his father and grandfather, working as a stone mason and bricklayer. He later became a stockbroker, sold life insurance, and developed real estate.
He was a football team captain at Manasquan High School and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He attended Rutgers College, where he joined Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity.
He was a collector of antiques. He was a member of Knights of Pythias, where he was honored as the Grand Marshall for the Livingston Memorial Day Parade for many years.
Predeceased by his second wife, Esther, he is survived by his son, Larry (Elizabeth) of Texas; his daughter, Sharon (Robert Fornuto); a brother, Michael of Holmdel; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three stepsons, Avi (Susan), Zev, and Leon (Leslie) Lewinson; and many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were held June 4 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
