Arnold Simon

Arnold Simon, 76, of Livingston died Feb. 7, 2011.

Mr. Simon practiced law for 51 years in courts around New Jersey.

He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance and Columbia University Law School.

He was a longtime member of Temple Emanu-El of West Essex in Livingston, serving as its program chair in the 1970s. He was active in Indian Guides with his sons and was head umpire of the Livingston American Little League for several years. He also worked with the Literacy Volunteers of Essex County, and was a committed blood donor, achieving a 19-gallon award.

He is survived by his wife, Toby; two sons, Herbert and Jonathan; a brother, Michael; and two granddaughters.

Services were held Feb. 10 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Emanu-El.
