Arlene Karger, 78, of Morris Plains died May 16, 2017. Born in Jersey City, she grew up in Bayonne, where she lived for 59 years, before moving to Morris Plains. She also spent the last 25 winters in Wellington, Fla.
Mrs. Karger graduated from Bayonne High School and later attended Rutgers University.
She played golf and cards, was a member of Hadassah for 50 years, and traveled the world.
Predeceased by a grandson, Evan, she is survived by her husband of 58 years, Mort; three sons, Larry (Melanie) of Morris Plains, Scott (Caryn) of Morris Plains, and Darren (Caroline) of Morris Plains; and 10 grandchildren.
Services were held May 17 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions can be made to The ALS Association Greater New York Chapter.
