Annette Silverman
Annette Silverman, 99, of Monroe Township died Aug. 27, 2013. Born in Beaufort, NC, she moved to Elizabeth in 1939 and retired to Monroe in 1994.
Mrs. Silverman was the owner of the Mason Edwards Dress Shop in Elizabeth.
She was a member of the NAACP and Temple Beth El in Elizabeth.
Predeceased by her husband, Edward, she is survived by two daughters, Susan Pila and Nancy Wallman; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 29 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pila fund at Temple Har Shalom in Warren or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer research fund.
