Andrew Jacobs

Andrew Robert Jacobs, Esq., 72, a longtime resident of Cedar Grove, died July 14, 2019.

Mr. Jacobs maintained a private practice in Cedar Knolls. He was active in the Morristown Bar Association, was nominated by his peers as a “NJ Super Lawyer” for the past 12 years, and was a former federal prosecutor in the Brooklyn and Newark districts.

He was a graduate of Rutgers University and Columbia Law School.

He was a veteran, serving in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War. He left the service with the rank of captain.

Attaining the level of Eagle Scout in 1962, the highest honors in the Boy Scouts of America, he developed a love for camping and, later on, became a staff and board member of the NJY Camps.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Yardana “Dana” (Steinberg); his daughter, Suzanne Michael Jacobs (William) Calabrese; a brother, Roger Bruce Jacobs; and a grandson.

Services were held July 16 with arrangements by J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels of Cedar Grove.
