Alvin Schoenfeld

Alvin Schoenfeld, 93, of Marlboro died April 16, 2013. Born in Kamentz-Litovsk, Poland, he came to the United States in 1938, settling in the Brownsville, East Flatbush, and Mill Basin sections of Brooklyn before moving to Marlboro in 1986.

Mr. Schoenfeld was the co-owner of Crown Beverage Corp. and Best Health Beverages, both of Brooklyn, for over 45 years, retiring in 1983.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

He was a member of the Jewish Center of Hyde Park, Flatbush Park Jewish Center, and Marlboro Jewish Center. He also was a member of the Jewish War Veterans of New York and New Jersey and the Knights of Pythias of New York and New Jersey.

Predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Anne (Haberman), in 2005, he is survived by two daughters, Fran (Calvin) Schwartz of Marlboro and Lois Weinstein of Atlantic Beach, NY, and three grandchildren.

Services were held April 18 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan.
