Allan Forman

Allan Forman of Springfield died July 11, 2013. Born in Newark, he lived in Union until 1966, when he moved to Springfield.

Mr. Forman was a certified public accountant and partner in the accounting firm of Granet and Granet of Union, where he worked for over 40 years. After retiring 15 years ago, he continued to work privately as a CPA until his death.

He received a B.S. from New York University in accounting.

A World War II U.S. Army veteran, he served in the European Theater as an accountant and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant.

Predeceased by his wife, Frances, and daughter, Diane Forman, he is survived by his son, Howard (Marjorie) of Parsippany; a brother, Jules of Manheim, Pa.; a sister, Bea Kalb of Delray Beach, Fla.; and a grandson.

Services were held July 14 with arrangements by Ross’ Shalom Chapels, Whippany. Memorial contributions may be made to Relay for Life of Parsippany, Participant Zachary Forman, American Cancer Society, 7 Ridgedale Ave., Suite 103, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.
