The paternal grandparents are Marsha and Michael Messer of North Caldwell. The maternal great-grandmother is Dorothy Kaufman of Westbury, NY. The paternal great-grandmother is Toby Messer of Mt. Freedom. Samuel Solomon is named in memory of his maternal great-grandfather Samuel Askinazi and his paternal great-grandfather Sol Messer.
The couple also has a daughter, Lauren Rachel.
