Alfred Goldberg

Alfred Goldberg of Livingston died July 8, 2013. Born in Albany, NY, and raised in the Bronx, his family later moved to Flemington, where they owned a chicken farm.

Mr. Goldberg was a CPA and a retired partner at Marks, Paneth & Shron LLP, where he worked for over 40 years. He graduated from Rider College with a degree in accounting.

He was a member of the U.S. Merchant Marines.

Predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Evelyne, he is survived by his son, Lenny (Jamie) of Rye Brook, NY; his daughter, Bonnie (Andrew) Stewart of Westfield; a brother, Allen of Hamilton; and four grandchildren.

Services were held July 11 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the Neuropathy Association or North Shore Animal League.
