Albert Sandler
Albert Sandler, 92, of Highland Park died Sept. 16, 2018. A lifelong resident of New Jersey, he was born in Bayonne, grew up in Perth Amboy, and then raised his family and remained in Highland Park for over 55 years.
For over 30 years, Mr. Sandler owned and ran Perth Roofing.
He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Philippines during World War II.
He was a consistent contributor to numerous Jewish, Israeli, and humanitarian organizations. He was a member of Highland Park Conservative Temple-Congregation Anshe Emeth and Congregation Ohav Emeth.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Margaret (Gross); two daughters, Robin (Sam) Milrom and Joanne (Ray); his son, Charles; a sister, Elaine Hirner; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services were held Sept. 17 at HPCT-CAE.
