Alan Yohalem
Alan Yohalem, 77, of West Orange and Pittsfield, Mass., died Sept. 28, 2017. Born and raised in Queens, he lived in Woodcliff Lake and South Orange prior to moving to his latest residence 10 years ago.
Mr. Yohalem was president and CEO of Economics Press, a publishing and printing company in Fairfield, from 1980 to 2012 before retiring.
He received a bachelor of business administration in 1960 from The College of the City of New York and an MBA in 1962 from University of California at Berkeley.
A member of the U.S. Army Reserves, he was discharged in 1968.
He was a member of Congregation Beth El in South Orange.
He was a member of the Boston Symphony Volunteer Association at Tanglewood in Lenox, Mass., and a volunteer coach for Millburn-Short Hills Youth Baseball.
He is survived by his wife, Rita S.; three daughters, Jill (Steve) Joroff of River Vale, Kimberley Towey of River Vale, and Lora (Jeffrey) Hersh of Short Hills; his son, Gary Berson of Millburn; and 10 grandchildren.
