Alan Ross
Alan Ross, 65, of Old Bridge died Dec. 10, 2013. He was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Maplewood and lived in River Vale for 25 years before moving to Paramus and later Old Bridge.
After a successful career in software sales with Itel and Cyborg, Mr. Ross became CEO and owner of Pencil Expressions.
He graduated from Columbia High School, Maplewood, and Rutgers University. He was a member of Pi Lambda Phi.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cheryl (Roth), formerly of Springfield; two daughters, Alison (Steve) Sherman of Coral Springs, Fla., and Marnie Ross of Westwood; sisters and brother-in-law; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 13 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions for pancreatic cancer research may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation.
