Abram Belz
Abram Belz of Freehold died Feb. 17, 2011. Born in Poland, he was a Holocaust survivor who immigrated to the United States in 1950. He lived in Minneapolis, Denver, and Brooklyn, and since 1996, in Freehold.
After working as a tailor, Mr. Belz opened his own business, Belz Tailoring and Cleaning in Brooklyn.
Predeceased by his wife of 36 years, Marilyn, in 1996, he is survived by his son, Eddie of Newton, Mass.; his daughter, Michelle Katz of Freehold; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 18 with arrangements by Belkoff Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood. Memorial contributions may be made to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, Washington, DC.
