Abraham Berman

Abraham Berman, 81, of Boynton Beach, Fla., died July 1, 2014. Originally from Brooklyn, he lived in Cedar Grove from 1964 to 1990 and in Wayne from 1990 to 1994. He also had lived in Palo Alto, Calif., and London. 

Dr. Berman served as a primary care physician for 26 years at his office in Cedar Grove. Following his retirement from his medical practice, he worked in drug safety for several pharmaceutical companies. 

He graduated from Rutgers College of Pharmacy and University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. 

He supported many synagogues and Jewish causes. He was a member of the JCC of Verona, Chabad of Passaic County, Chabad-Lubavitch of Greater Boynton Beach, and Temple Torah in Boynton Beach.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Pamela; his son, Lewis (Nancy Rennert) of Fairfield, Conn.; his daughter, Lisa (Rabbi Michael) Fredman of Efrat, Israel; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
