Aaron Chernus

Aaron Chernus of Livingston died Aug. 31, 2014. He was born in Newark. 

After 15 years in the family business, Chain Curtain Stores, Mr. Chernus became a successful real estate developer in New Jersey. 

He served as a U.S. Marine. 

He participated for more than 20 years in both the New Jersey and National Senior Games, frequently earning medals. 

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Janet; his son, Jack (Jennifer); his daughter, Andrea; and three grandchildren. 

Services were held Sept. 3 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
