Summer carnival
The fifth annual PJ Library Summer Carnival will take place at The Hebrew Academy (formerly Solomon Schechter Day School) in Marlboro, 10-11:30 a.m., featuring pony rides, a petting zoo, games, face-painting, prizes, snacks, and a PJ Library Carnival Enrollment Special. PJ Library, which sends free Jewish books to children, is funded locally by Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey. Admission carnival is free; RSVP is required. Vendor night

The Hebrew Academy in Marlboro, in conjunction with Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey and area synagogues, will hold a 3D Party: Drumsticks, Dreidels, & Dance Event, 5:30-7:30 p.m. The dance is for area students in grades 5-8 who attend a Jewish day school or are Jewish youth group members. The Hebrew Academy in Marlboro will hold its annual “Thanks and Giving” Program at 9 a.m. in which students in each grade prepare a special expression of thanks and select a specific community project, to be presented during a school-wide assembly at 9 a.m. Additionally, a Thanksgiving Feast is scheduled for the Early Childhood students and their families on Friday, Nov. 16, at 11:30 a.m. Both programs are free and open to the community. Winter Wonderland

Holiday of the trees
“The Spice and Spirit of Tu b’Shvat,” a virtual culinary tour of Israel, will be presented by Women’s Philanthropy at Jewish Federation in the Heart of NJ on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 6:30 p.m. at The Hebrew Academy, Marlboro. Character breakfast

PJ Library celebrates Israel
PJ Library, supported by Jewish Federation in the Heart of NJ, will celebrate Israel’s 71st Independence Day with a “virtual” trip to Israel on Sunday, May 19, 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at The Hebrew Academy, Marlboro. Activities will include visiting Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, milking a “cow” on the kibbutz, working on an archeological dig in Masada, learning Hebrew, and eating at an Israeli market. Winter in summer
A PJ Library Family Summer Snow Ball will take place at The Hebrew Academy (formerly Solomon Schechter Day School), on Sunday, Aug. 25, 10-11:30 a.m. The free “beat the heat” carnival will feature inflatable water activities, snowball making, hands-on cooking, and fun “winter” activities.
