Actor and singer Barbara McCarthy will present “The Songs of George Gershwin” Thursday, Aug. 23, at 12:30 p.m., at the Edison Senior Center. McCarthy will also tell fascinating stories about Gershwin’s life. The free event is sponsored by the JCC of Middlesex County and the Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey.
