Kristallnacht Commemoration at Congregation Beth Israel
Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains will commemorate the 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht on Friday evening, November 16, at 7:30 p.m. This night of remembrance will feature a presentation by Miriam Gershwin, who will share her personal experiences as a Holocaust survivor and answer questions from attendees. The program, which will take place during Congregation Beth Israel’s Friday night Shabbat services, is open to the community and is suitable for children. Blood Drive at Congregation Beth Israel
The Men’s Club of Congregation Beth Israel will hold a Blood Drive on Sunday, December 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Scotch Plains synagogue. Run by Community Blood Services of New Jersey, the drive is open to anyone in the community, 18 years or older, who is medically eligible to donate blood. No pre-registration is required. All blood donors will receive complimentary cholesterol screenings and a light snack.

Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament

Family Erev Rosh Hashanah Service
Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains will hold a free family service on Erev Rosh Hashanah, Sunday evening, September 29, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. This child-friendly service is open to the community for members and non-members alike.
