I would have thought that publishing lashon hara in a Jewish publication is as morally wrong as sexual harassment (“Questions multiply as accusations pile up against former NJ Y Camps director,” April 19). This article was an unethical smear job.
It seems that Leonard Robinson was fired as executive director of NJY Camps for something he did 30 years ago. I find this action of firing somebody for something from that long ago detestable. What he did 30 years ago was gross and unacceptable, but there ought to be some sort of “statute of limitations” here on firing somebody for what amounts to a violation of employment policy, a policy that probably didn’t even exist in 1988.
