Myra Geffner

Myra Geffner of Livingston died June 20, 2015. She was born in Newark. 

Mrs. Geffner was a retired schoolteacher who had worked for West Orange Board of Education. 

She was a member of Crestmont Country Club, West Orange, for over 40 years, where she was a winner of many tournaments and golf awards. She was a member of Temple Beth Shalom, Livingston, for 45 years. She was active in many charities, including Play for Pink, Daughters of Israel, Diabetes Foundation, and Dystonia Foundation, and was a recipient of the Israel Freedom Award. 

She is survived by her husband of almost 53 years, Stephen; her son, Jeff; her daughter, Marcy Krueger; her mother, Hanna Ordower; a sister, Rona Berg; and four grandchildren. 

Services were held June 24 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Cancer Center, Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, or NJY Camps.
