Leon Burzynski

Leon Burzynski of Cranford died Jan. 19, 2012. Born in 1925 in Konin, Poland, he was a Holocaust survivor, immigrating to the United States after World War II.

He worked at the Deli-King Restaurant, Clark.

He spoke about the Holocaust at area schools.

Predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Sylvia (Levitas), he is survived by his son, Irwin of Millburn; his daughter, Barbara Burzynski Marx of Havertown, Pa.; and three granddaughters.

Services were held Jan. 22 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
